Bamboo: What do you want to do when you grow up?
Tony: Grow taller and meet a lot of new friends.
Bamboo: I am serious, Tony. I meant academically.
Tony: I don't know. Teachers are nice, but strict.
Bamboo: Good! You don't realize how important it is for a young person to study now.
Tony: Big deal!
Bamboo: Time passes swiftly and never returns.
Tony: I'll go along with that.
Bamboo: When you are young, you learn to spell the words much faster and easier than grownups.
Tony: What's the use of spelling as long as I can speak.
Bamboo: Speaking is only oral communication. Reading and writing are equally important.
Tony: Who cares? Did you study hard?
Bamboo: You bet I did and now I'm glad of it.
Tony: I always mean to study hard, but somehow I always get sidetracked.
Bamboo: I know it's more fun to play, but learning can be fun if you really get into it.
Tony: It seems like I always run out of time.
Bamboo: That's because you always wait until almost bed time before doing your homework.
Tony: Yeh. By then I'm so tired, I go to sleep over my books.
Bamboo: You should set up a certain hour every evening to do your homework.
Tony:Is that what you do?
Bamboo: It sure is. I'm going to be a teacher, so I have to go to college.
Tony: Well, it would be nice to have other professionals around, too.
Bamboo: You mean that it would be nice to have a doctor in the family?
Tony: I don't know about that yet. Maybe I'll be a scientist instead. Or maybe an archaeologist or a lawyer. Or why not be a diplomat or even an astronaut?
Bamboo: Why not! You have to dream and set some goals or you'll never be anything.

Professor Bumble (1′13″)
Professor Bumble is not only absent-minded but shortsighted as well. His mind is always busy with learned thoughts and he seldom notices what is going on around him.
One fine day recently he went for a stroll in the countryside, but, as always, he had a book in his hand, and he had no sooner set out for his walk than he became engrossed in reading. He hadn't gone far when he bumped into a massive cow and fell down. He had lost his spectacles in the fall, and he thought he had stumbled over a fat lady."I beg your pardon, madam, "he said politely before searching for his glasses. As soon as he had put them on, he realized his mistake.
Soon he was concentrating on his book again and paying no attention to anything else. He had scarcely been walking for five minutes when he fell over again, losing both his book and his glasses. This time he became furious. Seizing his umbrella, he struck the "cow?in anger. Then, after finding his glasses, he realized with horror that he had made a second blunder. A large fat woman was fleeing from him in terror.
